The Department of Civil Engineering at Annamacharya Institute of Technology & Sciences, Tirupati, organized an awareness program on air pollution on March 10, 2023. The program featured a talk by Mrs. K. Sumavalli, who delivered an expert presentation on air pollution that was beneficial for students and participants from various engineering courses. The Air Pollution Board successfully conducted an 8-hour testing session on the campus, focusing on Respirable dust sampling, a process for measuring contaminants in the air at workplaces that could be inhaled by workers. Various dust sampling methods were employed to assess the volume of dust particles and chemical vapors, ensuring the health and safety of the workers.
