GUEST LECTURE DECISION MAKING AND DATA ANALYSIS

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, AITS Tirupati, in collaboration with the Alumni Association Cell, organized a Guest Lecture on 31st December 2024 as part of its Lecture Series. 

Speakers: 

  • Mr. P. Sasidhar, Decision Scientist, Mu Sigma, Bengaluru 
  • Mr. V. M. D. Yaseen, Decision Scientist, Mu Sigma, Bengaluru 

The session focused on “Decision Making and Data Analysis”, highlighting a framework for data-driven decisions , defining problems, gathering and analyzing data, communicating insights, and taking informed action. 

The lecture was conducted in three sessions for II Year CSE, CSD, and CIC students, with a total of 408 participants. Speakers shared their professional experiences and essential skills for the industry. 

The interactive sessions explored: 

  • Decision-making approaches and data analysis techniques 
  • Exploring data sources and ensuring data quality 
  • Descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics 
  • Communicating insights for effective decisions 

The event provided valuable insights into evidence-based strategies, enhancing students’ analytical and decision-making abilities.
