78th Independence Day Celebrations – 2024
As part of the 78th Independence Day celebrations at AITS, Tirupati, the Literary Club conducted Poetry Writing (Telugu/English) and Just A Minute contests on August 9, 2024, with themes centered around Freedom, Patriotism, and Heritage. Students participated enthusiastically, and winners were selected by a jury panel.
The main celebration was held on August 15, 2024, beginning at 9:15 a.m. Principal Nadhamuni Reddy addressed the gathering, highlighting key developments in India, including:
- COVID vaccine progress
- India ranking 5th in global GDP
- Growth in defense exports
- ₹20 lakh crore budget for agriculture
- Success of Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan, leading to National Space Day on August 23
Chief Guest C. Yella Reddy, Vice Chairman of AET, reflected on the significance of Independence Day and honored the sacrifices of national leaders. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony for contest winners.
