Menstrual Hygiene

IQAC, in collaboration with IWN AP Health & Wellness and Policy Advocacy, organized an awareness talk on “Understanding Menstruation” for girl students and lady faculty. The session was led by Dr. C. Vijaya Nirmala, Gynecologist, Amara Hospital, and moderated by Dr. Ramadevi Gourineni, MD, Amara Hospital & Chairwoman, IWN AP. 

Dr. C. Nadhamuni Reddy, Principal, welcomed the gathering and introduced the speakers. Dr. Ramadevi addressed common menstrual health issues like PCOD and hormonal imbalances. The interactive session covered topics such as irregular periods, mood swings, and period-related discomforts, with students actively participating through Q&A. 

Over 1000 students from B.Tech, MBA, and MCA programs attended. The session received excellent feedback for raising awareness and clearing misconceptions. 

Dr. K. Ramya (IQAC Coordinator), Dr. P. Krishnaveni (Associate Dean, HBS), and Dr. K. Haritha (Head, MBA) felicitated the guests. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. K. Ramya.
